Instrument Description
This early 20th century violin by Aristide Cavalli was made in the heart of Italy's violin making in Cremona. This incredible find of a violin features a deep red varnish of consistent quality, typical of Italian violins of the era and today. The details to the finishing including the chamfered f holes, and rounded pegbox are great examples of why Cremona's violin making is so sought after. The sound offered by this violin is dark and complex, with a deep developed sound and a great bottom end that echoes. This violin is paired with Thomastik Dominants for its neutral and warm accompanying tone.
