Instrument Description
Rooted deep in Texas violin making, this violin by Alkis Rappas is a stellar example of fine violin making in the state. A resident of the Houston area, Alkis has made numerous achievements in the violin world, including winning second place in the southern violin association competition (of which this exact violin is the prize holder of). Being the placeholder violin in said competition, this violin features a reddish-brown varnish and great finishing details. The violin's sound is a wall of dark, deep sound that will project to the end of the hall, it has a set of Thomastik Peter Infelds on.
