Instrument Description
This Violin by Anton Hoyer features an extremely unique yellow-brown varnish and distinct flame. Suspected to have been made sometime between the 1920's-1930's, this antique violin gives a dark balanced sound with complex overtones. Paired with a set of the new Thomastik Rondo Gold's, this violin has a direct and focused sound that sounds quieter under the players ear, but projects loudly in large halls. We would recommend this violin to players looking to have a soloistic or concertmaster sound, where projecting over others is important.
